As I sit here in the early morning hours on a cold November morning, the release of Snowline seems perfect! Couple that with an historic election in the US and it takes on even more meaning.

about
This track came out of a weekend retreat for songwriters put on by Common Room music in Sunshine Valley in 2019. It was inspired by a walk in the woods on a cold October day.
lyrics
Morning mist on the saplings
The forest in holy shroud
The chorus of winter whispers
The snowline's coming down
We gather wood for the fire
To fend off the wicked wind's howl
Stock up the last kitchen cupboard
The Snowline's coming down
As seasons change it's hard to notice one ending
But when one begins I can see it coming
We walk down by the river
On our way to town
You fix your gaze on your mountain
The snowline's coming down
Sinew softly slowing
The geese all flying south
I'm glad that you are here with me
Now the snowline's coming down
As seasons change it's hard to notice one ending
But when one begins I can see it coming
I can say come whatever
We'll hide away together
No matter the weather
I wanna hide away with you
